Notes : The Type F handstamp was introduced at the beginning of 1929. The principal design features are the square hooks below the gap at the top of the oval and distinctive digits. The earliest recorded in a series of handstamps, numbers 64 to 74 inclusive, came into use on 28 March 1929 (PHS 65). The last known usage of a Type F – and the latest recorded and confirmed use of a Maltese PHS - was on 10 October 1949 when a PHS 70 was delivered to 15 St Joseph Street, Zejtun.
